Parks, People and Places.
What is the common link of all three? Not just the letter ‘P’?
It is ‘Space’. Parks are about creating breathing space for recreation and interaction. Jok Kwang’s recent chance encounter with PM is all about that.
People need space. Space to live in, hence the craze for property. Space to speak up, hence the relentless chatter in social networks.
Places? Haha, it is now about priority admission in primary schools. Who should have the right to get the best choice places in school. The places are as limited as the limited space in the tiny classrooms that we have.
But I guess the most important ‘space’ that we must all have is the space in our hearts for others, our family, friends, neighbors, strangers, PRs and foreigners amongst us.
It is this space that we have or lack thereof, that will define our true character, well being and stature.
I believe HPA should be and is about people who have such a space in their hearts. Perhaps this space can be widen further, perhaps we can do even more together.
We need creative ideas from all members on how to create even interesting “spaces” for interaction, networking – business and social.
Perhaps we should have some linkages to club facilities? Or even photographic excursions to exciting places for the shutterbugs.
Please share your ideas and give your full support to TJ to create those ‘spaces’.
